The Grow Room is proud to present the much anticipated full length collaboration from Cleophus & Lightskinjohn titled 'Small Talk'. Described by Cleophus as 'a conversation inspired by a conversation', the tape was conceived, written & recorded on Karangahape Road, and is a reflection of Cleophus' experiences as a young creative living and working on the infamous strip. Lyrically the project covers a range of subjects from economic disparity to the k-road nightlife, with prolific beat smith Lighskinjohn (SHIRAZ & LSJj/RISERA) serving up a palate of moody stripped back instrumentals for Cleophus to go to work on. The voices of the street can be heard throughout with field recordings taken straight from the Iphone.
