The Grow Room is proud to present Dusty Melody's second solo project 'I Love This Game'. A collection of hand picked b-side beats made between the years of 2015-2018. Collated and detailed by Lightskinjohn.

Following on from his first release, Dusty takes a turn in his craft to focus on some key themes such as nostalgia, inner-city living, childhood upbringing and basketball. He reflects on his own experiences of relationships, influence, role models and inspiration. These themes and experiences are detailed by Lightskinjohn's ability to intertwine Dusty's low-quality traditional hip-hop beats, with obscure 90's movie scenes and iconic NBA games.

'Years of memories are stashed away inside my head. Some I'll never forget. Experiences that shaped me into the man that I am today. I dedicate this project to all who played this game as a kid, the days spent at Youthtown watching childhood heroes, the early morning school games, the late nights watching Jordan on the VCR and everyone who felt the same energy I did when it came to this game. This ones for you'.

This was the first album I ever listened to as a teenager, and it remains as impressive as I remember it being. I really can't recommend it enough, especially if you're into experimental spacey jazzy hip hop. asherarataki
